Competitions

A wide variety of exhibit classes for adult and junior residents of St Saviour, St Pierre du Bois and Torteval, covering agriculture, horticulture, cookery and arts and crafts.

Locally Grown Produce

Horticulture including fruit, vegetables and flowers grown by Guernsey's western community is on display inside the Exhibit Tent.

Champion Livestock

Cattle, Goats, Sheep, Pigs and Poultry show the best of Guernsey's farming community.

Picture Perfect

Creative artworks and decorated cakes are designed by professionals and amateurs alike.

How it works

Get involved and enter

1. Choose what to enter

All of the classes to enter can be found in the Schedule of Exhibit Classes booklet.

2. Complete an entry form

Fill out an entry form with the list of classes you wish to enter. Please note: a membership ticket is required to enter.

3. Enter and Pay

Submit your entry form on the relevant dates with your entry fees. You will receive an exhibit card and envelope for each entry.

4. Take your exhibits to the show

Bring your exhibits to the showground on the Wednesday of the show before judging commences.

5. Judging

Our Exhibit Tent and Animal Tent will be closed to entrants and the public until judging has completed.

6. Did you win?

When the tents reopen, you can find out if you have won any prize money or trophies. See the Schedule of Exhibit Classes for details on collection.

Submitting your Entry Form

Entries can be made between 3pm and 7pm on Saturday 15 August 2026 at Styx Community Centre, St Pierre du Bois.

Forms can be found in our printed schedule, available at our outlets, or we will have some with us at the entry day for you to complete and hand in.

All entrants require a membership ticket to enter classes. If you don't already have one, these will be available to purchase on 15 August 2026.

Collection of Prizes

We will have a prize collection night for prize money and trophies, which will be confirmed in due course.

Any prizes not claimed at the collection evening will be retained by the West United Agricultural & Horticultural Society.
